Traditionally we have set our draft order on our Draft Day only moments prior to the actual draft. This year, we'll be holding an online event on Sunday, August 1, 2021. At 8AM ET we will begin a 12 hour virtual duck race, steamed live on our Twitch channel , to determine our draft order for our Draft Day. Since many people have different preferences for draft order based on their personal strategy, winners of the duck race will be able to choose their draft place in order of their duck's finish. Remember that we use a snake draft, so that negates a bit of the strategy many use. But anyway, if The Astrocats' duck crosses the finish line first, they can choose what draft order they would prefer before anyone else. Second can choose second, and so on. Due to our lack of a 2019 season, we had to restart our league somewhat in the Yahoo app last season. We somehow retained our history, but team names were reset to the Yahoo defaults as we reinvited folks. Most of this went unnoticed due to the overall lameness of the 2020 COVID-19 season. Many have updated their team names and logos but some may have missed this detail and some may have misspelled this detail. In Yahoo, the Commissioner cannot edit team names or logos or this would have been fixed for you. You can adjust your team name by selecting the Yahoo icon on our website, select "My Team" and then select "Edit Team Info" to update your name and logo to the desired stuff. Be sure to update your team name for the 2021 season or risk winning the championship only to get an undesired team name etched on the trophy forever.

After 6 years, the Sack Pack Fantasy Football League finally has a complete charter. The link to this most holy document is on our website and it covers most things that most people in the league would probably like to know like our app, our history, our social media, our draft process, point system, prize amounts, fees, and all that junk. A big thank you to our league members who are pretty laid back and never freaked out about not having most of this in writing for the previous years. The NFL released the full 2021 schedule Wednesday night. This will be the first 17-game regular season. This adds a week to our regular season as well. The new 18th week is the old 17th week... we don't play that mess in our fantasy football league. We did have some schedule mess last year with a few games postponed, but none actually canceled, due to COVID-19, as was inevitable, but the season plowed on and with more knowledge, more experience, and vaccinations now available for players, there's no reason to believe that the NFL will have to hold back the season this year. That was a long sentence. I probably should revisit that with some edits, but who has time for that? The regular season begins Thursday, September 9, 2021 and ends on Sunday, January 9, 2022. Our playoffs will be Weeks 15, 16, and 17. Our season will end on January 3, 2022 with the final Week 17 game starting at 8:15PM ET (Browns vs Steelers).

With the promise of a new fantasy football season, a new website design for Sack Pack dawns upon the league. Old farts of the league will appreciate the retro Windows XP style and the young bucks will wonder how we got their grandparents PCs UI/wallpaper.

The 2020 football season was rather messy, but we had our champion, Eliot lead Backus to the Future to the number one spot in the league! Our new season isn't set up in Yahoo yet, but if you could please confirm your participation for next season via Discord, text, or email before we get that started, I'd appreciate it. Draft Day for the upcoming season is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, August 28. Please save the date. Hopefully this gives everyone ample time to get shots in arms and we'll be able to do a live/online draft combo. If all goes well, we'll have live participants as usual, but we'll also allow for online drafting to accommodate as many people as possible. Backus to the Future dominated this season with 9 wins and 4 losses. Although not the highest point earner of the season, he got them where they counted most. Grats also to Shady Bradys for 2nd, Aaron’s Choice Team for 3rd, Snootchie Boochies for 4th and Regis Island for 5th. It was a weird season. Grats to all who participated and made it through.
