Hey, Sack Pack

As you all know, Steve/Slurms passed away only 4 months ago. His absence is felt in many areas of our lives, and the fantasy football league is no different. Simply starting the season contact email had me in tears, as it is the first one where I had to skip his name in the "to" list. As the various fantasy football emails start to pop up from yahoo and fantasy pros and such, I've had to start thinking about how to handle the upcoming season. I tried to wait to see if my feelings would change but I also want to be able to give everyone enough time to plan their fantasy football seasons. I'm not comfortable with moving on with a new season of Sack Pack so soon after his death. As Commissioner, I'm declaring 2019 the Season of Silence out of respect for our friend and presenting the Honorary Championship to Planet Express for the season. Congratulations to our 2018 League Champion: The Fighting Fistula! We’ll celebrate the entire season this Saturday at the annual Sack Pack Awards.

It’s all come down to this week. We’ve got Regis Island vs The Fighting Fistula for this year’s Sack Pack Happy Ending. Who’s going to take it? It’s too close to predict! No, it’s not. Yahoo!’s got a prediction. But will it be correct? I don’t fucking know.

The Playoffs are here and the 8 amazing teams involved are The Fighting Fistula, RG3POs, The Scumbags, Lollipop Guild, Backus to the Future, Regis Island, Planet Express, and Amazons. A big “you did good, buddy” goes out to GO BIRDS, The Astrocats, Good Picks, Shady Bradys, Snoochie Boochies, and Oakland Vaders. Thanks for the season. Reminder: Sack Pack Awards are January 19th.

So I’m late on doing the recap this week, so I hope anyone with Thursday players remembered to set their lineups yesterday. Really, you shouldn’t be relying on me to tell you these things. I mean, we’re going in to week 11 here... You should know the routine by now. Grats go out to Lollipop Guild (that’s me), Shady Bradys, RG3POs, Regis Island, Planet Express, The Scumbags, and The Fighting Fistula. The Fighting Fistula could have been beaten by four other teams last week, but here we are listing them in the grats-pile... Isn’t that sad?

The Fighting Fistula retain their undefeated streak in Week 6. GO BIRDS broke 100 points for the first time this season, despite going blind. RG3POs won the HOF Hopeful Fantasy Medals this week. Grats go out to Snoochie Boochies, The Astrocats, The Fighting Fistula, GO BIRDS, Good Picks, Amazons, and Lollipop Guild.

It’s Regis Island’s BDay weekend and it looks like he should use that birthday wish on his lineup for Week 6. A victory over the only undefeated team in the league would be a great gift to all of us... except for Fighting Fistula, obviously, but who cares about that. Planet Express and Lollipop Guild look like they’ll have a close match-up with less than a quarter point difference in projections. That is assuming that they’ve both set their lineups, of course. SET YOUR LINEUPS, PEOPLE!
