Hey, Sack Pack

Grats go out to Week Two Winners: Amazons, The Shit Show, Dark Order, Go Birds, RG3POs and Oakland Vaders. Added grats to RG3POs for willing the Weekly Winner with T. Hill in flex achieving an amazing 36.5 points.   We enter Week 3 with four undefeated teams. It'll be interesting to see who's on top of the standings this time next week. Games for this week start tonight, so set those lineups!  

Week One is done. We have our first undefeated teams breaking into the season. Grats to RG3POs, The Scumbags, Amazons, The Shit Show, Go Birds, and The Astrocats! Biggest blowout of the week goes to Go Birds who attained victory by an amazing 24.34 points. Go Birds also grabbed the Weekly Winner for having the most points out of all of the teams with a massive 148.12.  Current standings:  Week Two begins tonight! Weekly Winners will be looking to score the most in their flex position. Be sure to set your lineups.

Week 1 of our new season begins today with the first game kicking off at 8:20PM. There are projections of wins and losses, but as we all know, Week 1 tends to be the start of understanding what kind of season we're in for. Good luck, Sack Pack! Half of you are going to win. 

We have always used a tumblr for the Sack Pack website, but lately I'm unhappy with how the site is displayed. Even if a person is logged in to tumblr, the site still puts a large purple banner across the bottom of the page asking people to log in or follow the content. Overall, it's just terrible and I can't ignore it any longer. I've decided to switch to Blogger. The only problem is that we'll lose so much posted history, going back to 2017. Tumblr, in it's awesome wisdom, does allow an export of content, but not in any way that another blog will import it. So I'll be mass posting some stuff this afternoon to get the history preserved as best I can. Hopefully this works out for us. 

Results are entered into the app. Amazons won the Yahoo "Best Draft" award. She has the most projected season points based on weekly optimal starting lineups. Other draft grades are in and coaches should be receiving their results via email soon, if not already. Give your teams a look and make sure the Commish has entered things correctly. We still have the poster and pics to verify any claims of error if necessary. Waiver settings have been adjusted to "none" so you should be able to go in and adjust your teams with free agents right away. There are 11 days until the season start.

It is with a heavy heart that I announce that Backus to the Future will not be joining the league for this season. Life is bonkers and yada yada yada... Maybe someday, life will see fit to lead Backus to the Future back into the Sack Pack future, but until that day, wishing you and your fam the best and we'll see you around kid. And as we all know, when one Sack Packer slams a door, another crawls in through a window. We'll maintain our 12 member league by welcoming a wild Erin's Team to the mix this season. She's pretty new to the whole fantasy football game, so that means she'll probably kick all our asses. Hopefully she comes up with a better team name.

 

Hey Sack Packers, It's that time of year again. Actually, we're a little overdue. But that doesn't matter. Last season's Sack Pack coaches must now confirm their intent to participate in the upcoming 2022 Fantasy Football season in the Sack Pack league. You will have received an email. Simply reply to that email by the end of July to confirm that you want to continue in the league this season. Also in the e-mail is the save the date for our draft party. Looking forward to our first in-person draft in years!

SACK PACK CHAMPION OF 2021! Despite the seemingly dominant "Points For" and "Win/Loss" record for the season, the finale came down to a major nail biter, with Dark Order only winning over Amazons by less than half a point on Monday night. Grats also go out to Amazons for 2nd, The Scumbags for 3rd, Shady Bradys for 4th, and Snoochie Boochies for 5th.

The last week for regular season play. Only three teams have secured a playoff spot. Dark Order, Shady Brady's and Amazons can breathe easy knowing they'll be gaming on into the next few weeks for that sweet league championship. For everyone else, you'll need to be sure to secure that Week 14 win. Grats go out to Week 12 champs: Amazons, Snoochie Boochies, Dark Order, Shady Bradys, Regis Island and The Fighting Fistula. Our weekly winner for Highest Scoring Played Tight End goes to Shady Bradys with 16.7 points earned. Grats go out to Wee 13 champs: The Fighting Fistula, The Astrocats, Dark Order, Shady Bradys, Snoochie Boochies, and Oakland Vaders. Our weekly winner for Highest Scoring Bench with a W goes to The Fighting Fistula with 69.6 points on the bench.

As Week 11 was Rivalry Week, each of the winners for this week receive a bonus to their seasonal awards. Thank you, as always, to all of you for participating in the league. | We're playing for pride this week... and $5. We've never had one of these officially before, but Week 11 is Rivalry Week! We have spouses and besties facing off at every turn. For a bit of extra excitement, every winner for this week will get $5 added to their pool of winnings at the end of the season awards ceremony. Grats to the Week 8 winners: Oakland Vaders, Amazons, mitch's Team (RG3POs), The Fighting Fistula, Snoochie Boochies, and Dark Order. This week's Weekly Winner, the team with the most total points for the season after 8 weeks, goes to Dark Order with 946.90 points. Grats also to Oakland Vaders for having the most TDs in the league this week. The standings have shifted a bit. The Amazons have reached the top of the standings with Week 8's win. We're passed the halfway point of the season. Anyone below rank 6 in the standings is going to have to kick it in gear, and anyone at or above is going to have to stay on their game. No one has secured the playoff spots yet.

We have the usual weekly grats going out to this week's champs: The Scumbags, Amazons, Backus To The Future, The Astrocats, Snoochi Boochies, and Dark Order. Way to bring home the W. We also had an upset on the top of the board. The Scumbags now sit as the number 1 ranked team in the league! Also of note, Snoochie Boochies has won The Unicorn award by the Yahoo! FFL app. It happened like 2 weeks ago, but it just popped up on that little section on the site that shows Fantasy Medals. I don't think I've ever seen this one pop up before and it looks pretty damn cool. Also in that same section, grats to Regis Island for leading the league in TDs for 3 weeks! As for the Weekly Winner, this week was Lucky 7s, and it goes to the team with the most number of 7s in their scores. Go Birds had 3 sevens in their played positions scores and their total score to bring home this W. We're getting in the the last half of the season now. Watch those standings and set those lineups!

The Weekly Winner for Week 5 is Dark Order with the Closest Shave win over mitch's Team by 0.74 points. Grats also to the Week Six Winners: Oakland Vaders, The Scumbags, Amazons, The Fighting Fistula, Regis Island, and Shady Bradys! Week Six's Weekly Winner for the highest played QB this week is Snoochie Boochies who played J. Allen who managed to gain 29.72 points this week.

Week Four has come and gone! Grats go out to the champs of the week: Regis Island, mitch's Team (RG3POs?), Go Birds, Amazons, The Scumbags, and Dark Order. Our last remaining undefeated team has officially been taken out. We still have a defeated team streak going with one 0 and 4 team. Our Weekly Winner this week is mitch's Team, with the lowest scoring W of the week with 100.92 points. Next week, the Close Shave Weekly Winner will be the team that wins by the smallest margin.

This week, our two remaining undefeated teams went head to head, and when the dust settled, only The Fighting Fistula retains the title. Grats to The Fighting Fistula on their win, and also to our other champs this week: Backus to the Future, Snoochie Boochies, mitch's Team, Go Birds, and Oakland Vaders. Additional grats go out this week to The Astrocats, for being the Weekly Winner for having the highest scoring loss this week. Astrocats has now won 2 Weekly Winners in a row, growing their end of the season winning total by $10. Next week's Weekly Winner will be the team that has the lowest scoring winning team.

It all starts today! Can you maintain your undefeated streak beyond the first week? Setting your lineup in time could be an important first step to that. We will also have our first weekly winner this week. Whoever gets the highest score of played players this week will take home an additional $5 at the end of the season. Thirty minutes before the draft start time, you'll be able to enter the draft screen. It is highly recommended that you do this from the web browser app, but it is perfectly doable from a mobile device as well. Once your draft spot becomes available to select a player, you will be able to do so.
